Have you called the Parkinson’s InfoLine yet?

The Parkinson’s NSW InfoLine – previously called the HealthLine – is the single point of contact for people living with Parkinson’s, care partners, health professionals, and family members who require evidence-based advice, information, and connection with essential services.

The InfoLine gives you easy access to experienced Registered Nurses, an Allied Health professional with 20 years of prior experience in community pharmacy, counsellors, a qualified social worker, a specialised NDIS Advocate, connections to Support Groups and access to education seminars – all free of charge to the consumer.   

It receives more than 3,000 telephone enquiries per year – including calls from Allied Health and Aged Care providers seeking more information on Parkinson’s care.

Specifically, this service connects callers with an extensive array of resources including:

  • Support Groups (via a dedicated in-house Support Group Coordinator)
  • Specialist Movement Disorder Neurologists
  • Community-based Parkinson’s Specialist Nurses
  • Counselling for people living with Parkinson’s, care partners, and family members
  • Verified providers of Allied Health Services including speech therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and exercise physiologists and trainers specialising in Parkinson’s.
  • Parkinson’s clinics
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme Advocacy
